Crowns and bridges are permanent devices. Contrary to removable appliances like dentures, which can be taken out and cleansed every day, crowns and bridges are affixed to natural teeth or dental implants and can only be taken out by a dentist. A dental restoration known as a crown "caps" or fully encases a chipped or broken tooth. A crown can be used to strengthen a damaged tooth while also enhancing its look, shape, or alignment. On top of an implant, a crown can also be used to provide a tooth-like shape and framework for function. A bridge may be suggested if one or more of your teeth are gone. A bad bite is the result of gaps left by missing teeth, which ultimately force the remaining teeth to rotate or shift into the open spaces. They close the space created by lost teeth. Bridges are affixed to the surrounding natural teeth or dental prostheses.
