The use of crowns and bridges is crucial in cosmetic dentistry. We take an impression for a custom temporary crown or bridge after anesthesia. After that, we make sure to remove any decay before reducing the tooth or bridge abutment teeth's height and circumference. When done, we insert a cord that resembles thick floss into the gum pocket. We get a good impression because the cord gently pulls the gum tissue away from the tooth. We will send an impression to a dental lab after taking it in order to have the crown or bridge made. Finally, the cord is cut, and the temporary crown is put in place. The patient returns a few weeks later to receive their permanent crown or bridge.
